Set in World War II, an American military pilot travels to Britain to fight in the war in Europe but goes missing in action. Assuming he is dead, his girlfriend and best friend - who are stationed together in Hawaii - become romantically involved, but things become complicated when he comes back alive, just in time for the devastating Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
