S2, E5: Extreme angler and biologist Jeremy Wade goes deep into the forbidding Alaskan wilderness. There are two large lakes here where legend has it that people have been vanishing without trace for hundreds of years. Jeremy cannot resist a challenge and is intrigued to see if there is a native species of lake monster that has actually been pulling fishermen into the icy depths. This is new territory for Jeremy who has never actually done any sub-arctic fishing before. Thankfully he doesn't fall victim to the frozen waters, or get eaten alive by a huge creature from the depths, but he does land probably the largest fish he has ever caught. Naturally our intrepid angler will be wondering if this is the fish of legend that has been dragging fisherman to an icy grave for centuries.
