When he loses his job fighting for a patient's life, Dr. Hank Lawson escapes to the Hamptons with his brother and inadvertently becomes the area's newest on-call doctor.

Hank helps a dog walker whose hand has become infected, having chosen not to go to hospital after being bitten by his animal, and gives the all-clear on a physical for a US senator's son who is starting out as a quarterback - only for the player to suffer from blurred vision during the game.

Danny and Frank investigate a double murder with a Russian mobster family. Meanwhile, Erin finds herself heading up the most high profile case in town.

While giving tuberculosis screenings to people in a restaurant, Hank tends a chef who suffered a stroke during a moment of passion with her head waiter.

Jill's mentor tries to get her fired and a young boy's attempt to run away from his inventor father goes awry.

Boris tells Hank that the Gardeners are trying to have his medical licence revoked, so the pair set out to stop them, while Evan and Divya get into trouble meeting a mystery client.
