The Cohen family prepare themselves for a visit from Sandy's mother for Passover dinner. Seth is worried that his grandmother won't approve of Summer, and attempts to keep the pair apart, but Summer sets out to prove him wrong.

On the opening night of The Lighthouse, Jimmy and Sandy discover that their liquor licence has been denied. Sandy must then decide whether to drop Jimmy and get the licence, or keep Jimmy on as his partner. Meanwhile, Marissa struggles to come to terms with her mother's affair with Luke, and refuses to speak to either of them, but when Luke is involved in an accident, Marissa and Ryan decide to hear him out.

After examining Grace for the flu, the doctor checks Fran's throat and schedules her for a tonsillectomy.
