Country music superstar Rayna James finds her career starting to waver. In an attempt to help her reclaim some of her former glory, her label suggests she team up with rising star Juliette Barnes on tour, much to Rayna's disapproval.

When Rayna and Juliette are both nominated for Country Music Association Awards, Edgehill Records hosts a party to celebrate. Gunnar gives Will the cold shoulder, so Will volunteers to be Scarlett's date for the nomination party.

Rayna has to decide what's really important to her after hearing Teddy's side of the story about Peggy. Juliette finds an unexpected sense of belonging with Sean's family, and Gunnar and Scarlett's partnership intensifies.

Marshall Evans continues to put pressure on Rayna and Juliette to collaborate at an event, and Scarlett and Gunnar find themselves growing closer. Meanwhile, as Peggy's desperation hits its peak, Teddy reveals the truth to Rayna.
