Rayna gradually adjusts to the fact that Deacon has joined the tour as a member of Juliette's band, but she starts to think that the time has come to make a difficult decision. Tiring of her shallow, glittery image, Juliette tries a brave experiment to get her music taken more seriously, despite her team's concerns about commercial viability. Meanwhile, Scarlett struggles to pay the rent.
