Lindsey Broad

A smart, sassy comedy actress with a great sense of timing, Lindsey Broad took a while to find the roles that best showed off her talents. After first making an online splash as a co-star on a web comedy series called "The Burgh" (2006-2009), Broad made small appearances on TV series including "Gossip Girl" (CW 2007-2012), "Without a Trace" (CBS 2002-09), and "Ghost Whisperer" (CBS 2005-2010). Her film debut was a minor role in the romantic comedy "Spread" (2009) starring Ashton Kutcher and Anne Heche. Then she landed her first recurring TV spot in season four of the ill-fated sitcom "'Til Death" (Fox 2006-2010), where she was one of four actresses who played the character of impetuous Ally Stark; the revolving cast became a running joke on the show during its deliberately metafictional final season. A quick appearance in the Russell Brand and Jonah Hill vehicle "Get Him to the Greek" (2010) was followed by the role that brought Broad to most comedy fans' attention. In "The Office" (NBC 2005-2013), Broad played Cathy Sims, the temporary employee hired to cover Pam (Jenna Fischer) while she was on maternity leave, who tried to insert herself more permanently into Pam's personal and professional life. More film work followed with the reboot of "21 Jump Street" (2012) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut "Don Jon" (2013). Broad returned to episodic television by co-starring in Mike Judge's sitcom "Silicon Valley" (HBO 2014-).
