Darrin allows Aunt Clara to babysit when Samantha tells him she is sad. However, all the lights on the East Coast go out after a botched spell.

Samantha goes to England to help Aunt Clara's boyfriend, Ockie, who owns a castle haunted by a troublesome ghost. She persuades the spectre to leave, but it soon takes up residence with the Stephens' instead.
