When Koyomi and Mayoi talk, he learns that she is on the way to visit her mother, but can't find the house. The spirit of a stray snail seems to be at fault.

Hitagi thinks Koyomi was hit by a car, but he tells her that he stumbled. The next day, Koyomi learns from Sugura that her arm was attacked by a monkey paw and she can't move it at times.
