Dark Matters: Twisted But True
TV Show · Documentary · Drama

Scientists throughout the ages have often performed experiments that, in hindsight, may have seemed somewhat questionable. This programme, hosted by actor John Noble (`Fringe'), recalls stories of actual scientific undertakings that just didn't push the envelope, but soared off into Dr Frankenstein territory. Dramatized re-enactments bring to life Soviet scientist Dr Ilya Ivanov's attempt to crossbreed humans and apes, UFO researcher Morris Jessup's investigation of government invisibility experiments and other outlandish-but-true topics. Viewers are then left to form their own opinions about whether these profiled individuals were truly way ahead of their time or just plain crackers.
