Bhagwan Jagannath, the incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu, King Indradyumna of Avanti region went on a long pilgrimage to find the idol of Lord Neelmadhava and finally found Darubrahma, which had washed up on the seashore. Dev Shilpi Vishwakarma Dev created the idols of Bhagwan Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra from that Darubrahma.
