While heading to Hyderabad in a train, Chaitra helps a pregnant lady deliver her baby. Chaitra and Mahalakshmi recollect how the former’s wedding was stopped at the last minute because of Sarojini.

When Govardhan gets a heart attack, Chaitra and Mahalakshmi get shocked to learn about his health condition. Govardhan tells them about their mother and asks them to promise that they will find her.

When Surya takes Chaitra and Mahi to Seetharatnam’s home, the sisters partake in ‘Dahi Handi’. They then watch Seetharatnam performing puja and greet her. Seetharatnam gladly offers them shelter.

Seetharatnam takes Chaitra and Mahi to her personal room to stay, but doesn’t let them see her family photo. Meanwhile, Viraj returns home drunk and dances with his grandmother.

Chaitra stops Viraj from breaking his fast. Praying for her shelter home and her estranged daughters, Seetharatnam dances to please Lord Shiva. Surya sends Chaitra’s stolen bag to Seetharatnam.

Chaitra gets irked as Viraj lifts her up to pluck leaves from the Vilva tree. Later, Viraj and his grandmother feel famished. While Gomathi begins another puja, Viraj locks Chaitra in his room.
