Kasturi arranges Anbarasi’s marriage against her wish. Soon after, Anbarasi outwits Kasturi and steps out of the house to participate in the running contest. Later, Anbarasi defeats Ananya.

Sundaram puts on an act to stop Kasturi from beating Anbarasi. The minister assures to admit Anbarasi to a sports college, but Kasturi humiliates him. Sundaram makes a request to the minister.

Sundaram argues with Kasturi, who once again sees an alliance for Anbarasi. Ananya is infuriated when Vishwa ignores her and praises Anbarasi. Later, Anbarasi refuses to leave the village.

Chandralingam’s mother arranges a special pooja for Chandralingam’s well-being. Kaushalya praises Vishwa, who gets the Youth Icon Award. Anbarasi agrees to the marriage, which disappoints Sundaram.

When Sundaram suffers a heart attack, Kasturi rushes him to the hospital. On reaching there, Sundaram reveals the truth and seeks the doctor’s help. However, Sundaram ends up getting into trouble.

Anbarasi’s grandmother helps Anbarasi to go to Chennai. Padma performs a special puja. She humiliates Kaushalya and stops her from lighting the lamp. Sundaram and Anbarasi accept food from Janaki.
