Vaishnavi, an orphan, becomes Mithuna’s best friend after saving her from an accident, and they grow up together. A few circumstances lead to Shekhar having to stay away from his family for 14 years.

Rekha’s mother-in-law gets angry as she exhibits her pride in ruling the household. Tarak rejects a girl’s proposal and wishes for a clever partner. Vaishnavi’s family gives her a birthday surprise.

Vaishnavi confronts a constable for driving a beggar off the street. Lekha observes her and feels delighted as she helps the beggar. Rekha fires the manager in her office for doing better than her.

Malini’s husband sends her to her maternal home to ask her family for money, but Rekha refuses to give her any more loans. When Mithuna unknowingly helps a thief escape, Vaishnavi catches him.

Rekha visits a prospective bride’s house but cancels the alliance on learning about her achievements. Tarak comes across Mithuna while she consults a parrot astrologer. Mithuna takes a liking to him.

Vaishnavi confronts Rekha and makes her apologise, leaving her furious. Soon, Rekha gets Vaishnavi fired, but she doesn’t lose her confidence. Later, Rekha decides to declare Tarak as her successor.
