Surya Narayana Gajapati controls his family with rigid discipline and traditions, while his granddaughter Sindhujakshi dreams of moving to Australia. A village girl, Sri Lakshmi, celebrates Rakhi.

While Sindhujakshi dreams of freedom, Surya Narayana stuns the family by fixing her marriage to Gopi. Sri Lakshmi is overjoyed to receive free college admission in Hyderabad, but Nookalu opposes it.

Maddy promises to Sindhujakshi that he will stop her wedding, while Sri Lakshmi promises Gopi the opposite. Later, Sri Lakshmi is shocked to realise that her parents had adopted them.

Lakshmi gives up on her dreams of higher studies for her parents’ happiness. Meanwhile, Maddy steals Sindhu’s passport from Surya Narayana and plans to help her run away to Australia.

Maddy and Trisha try to help Sindhujakshi escape to Australia, but Surya Narayana catches her and takes his family to the village. Later, Maddy comes across Sri Lakshmi, who prepares to meet a suitor.

Lakshmi gets into an argument with Maddy. Later, Sindhu clashes with Gopi, only to be stunned to realise that he is her fiance. Meanwhile, Nookalu introduces Bulliraju as a suitor for Lakshmi.
