Maitree prepares for her engagement to Aashish's brother Saransh, who finds himself in a predicament when the police arrive while he is taking drugs.

Saransh escapes the police and arrives at the venue to get engaged to Maitree, who finds his behaviour a little strange. After their eventful day, Nandini, Aashish, Maitree, and their family watch the news on TV.

Saransh lies when Maitree asks him if he has any secrets, and Saransh's mother objects to the presence of men at the mehendi celebration. As Maitri convinces her to reconsider, the arrival of the police scares Saransh.

Saransh is horrified to learn that Aashish is the public prosecutor in the drug case, Maitree's mehendi gets spoiled, Saransh's mother scolds Nandini, and Vasundhara accepts the case because of Aashish.

Saransh pressures Aashish to drop the drug case, and Maitree surprises Saransh by calling his friends for the sangeet. When Saransh leaves the sangeet to take drugs, Maitree follows him.

Childhood besties Maitree and Nandini often joke about marrying into the same family, but when that becomes a reality, their lives take a painful turn like nothing they could have imagined.
