Radha warns her indifferent mother Mandira that someday a person will teach her a lesson. Soon, Radha and Mohan run into a medical student, Shakti. Mandira decides to get her nephew Shiv married.

Shiv's chain floats in the river Ganga and falls around Shakti's neck. Mandira gets upset when Shakti asks her to queue up while entering the temple. Shakti rushes to save a child and runs into Shiv.

After Shiv and his cousin Keertan's refusal, Shakti operates on a child at a temple. Mandira twists her elder sister-in-law Padma's hand. They see Shakti at their hospital and decide to punish her.

Mandira lies to the press that Keertan had treated the child. Later, Mandira challenges Shakti that she will never become a doctor and insults her. Shakti decides to confront her, but runs into Shiv.

Shiv tells his father Raghunath that Keertan did not treat the child. Shakti is upset over Manorama's decision to get her married. To Shiv's dismay, his grandmother tells him about a match for him.

Shiv and Shakti's late-night online food orders get exchanged. Gayatri enters Shiv's room with kheer for him. However, Padma informs Raghunath, who scolds Gayatri and asks her to keep away from Shiv.
