Meleppattu Karunakaran comes from a wealthy family. His family comprises of his wife Banumathi and three children, Manasi, Thulasi and Nandhu. Chandran, whose father Karali was an ex-employee of Karunakaran, has returned.

Karunakara Menon has decided to take up the case of Karali Chandran beating the driver of his bus. Meanwhile, Manasi, who had left to attend her friend's wedding does not return home, leaving her family in turmoil.

Manasi spends the night with Chandran after he promises to marry her. However, Chandran reveals his deception and admits that he lured her into this trap for revenge.

Chandran is ready to return Manasi home. When she requests him to accompany her, he agrees but under one condition. Manasi's father must apologize to Karali. Jayakrishna is informed that Manasi was with Chandran.

Jayakrishnan is eager for the wedding to happen on the fixed date. He invites Nandhu to his home and asks whether, Thulasi would agree to a marriage to him.

Jayakrishnan informs his decision to marry Thulasi to Sairandhri and Bhaskaran Menon. Manasi, finally returns home.
