A day before Eid, Shams-ud-din Iltutmish, the ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, addresses his subjects amidst a festive mood that sweeps up everyone, including the Turkish royal family.

Razia gets the third gift for the sultan from Nizamuddin, a benevolent man who once saved the sultan from the clutches of a cruel master. While the sultan is delighted to see Razia's gifts, a messenger of death arrives with news.

Razia tries to convince her father to release Fatima, but the sultan explains that he cannot bend the law for his daughter, while Shamshad Begum punishes Razia and isolates her from the Eid celebrations.

Razia announces that she has witnessed the moon on the eve of Eid, a bold decision that puts her in the crosshairs of the imams and the commoners. To defend her actions, Razia highlights the discrimination between men and women.

Iltutmish decides to put his fate in the hands of the people of his kingdom. He asks the people to discard rituals which discriminate between men and women. The people support their Sultan. Razia goes to meet Fatima in prison.

The royal family is enjoys a dance performance on Eid. Qutub Begum is looking forward to sweeping her husband off his feet. She has written a ghazal for her husband. Razia and Shazia plead with their mother to read it out.
