Saru, a determined girl from Khares, aspires to be a Deputy Collector and plans to study in Mumbai. Later, an arrogant Anika follows her lover Ved to Saru's village, leading to a tense encounter.

Veda discovers Anika's actions. In the village kabaddi match, Saru's and Anika's teams face off. Meanwhile, Saru's mother Gauri locks her at home to stop her from competing.

Saru's kabaddi victory earns her a spot in a Mumbai college but Gauri denies her permission without explaining her reasons from the past.

Gauri spots the woman she has been keeping away from Saru in the village, causing her to feel anxious for Saru's safety.

Gauri arranges Saru's marriage, and Ved finds out. She tells her father Sitaram about seeing Chandrakant and Kamini at the temple. A call from the groom's family shocks Gauri, causing her to faint.

Ved learns that the man Saru is set to marry is already married. He apprises Sitaram, who then convinces Saru to move to Mumbai for her studies.
