Anasuya gets upset as Achyut writes his properties in Bhagyalakshmi's name. On his way to Bhagyalakshmi's wedding, Achyut dies in a car accident. Later, Anasuya breaks Bhagyalakshmi's wedding.

As Bhagyalakshmi and her siblings go to the city, they fall into danger. To save themselves, Bhagyalakshmi and her siblings hide in Mithra Nandana, a businessman's office. Mithra gets them arrested.

With the help of Mithra's driver Jagdish, Shekhar gets Bhagyalakshmi and her siblings freed from the police station. As Jagdish wishes to marry Shalini, Anasuya proposes he marry Bhagyalakshmi.

Anasuya emotionally blackmails Bhagyalakshmi into agreeing to marry Jagdish. Scared by Jagdish's behaviour, Bhagyalakshmi decides to not marry him. However, he fakes an apology to convince her.

A necklace chosen by Mithra's mother falls on Bhagyalakshmi. Jagdish arrives for his wedding in a drunken state. Sarathi questions Anasuya about selecting an alcoholic as a groom for Bhagyalakshmi.

As Bhagyalakshmi and Jagdish's wedding rituals begin, Mithra arrives there and stops it. While Mithra argues with Jagdish, the wedding venue catches fire. Later, Bhagyalakshmi saves Mithra's life.
