Veera celebrates Diwali with the neighbourhood kids. Raghavan seeks his father’s blessings when he hands over the store keys to him. Raghavan’s father gets upset when Valli enquires about Maaran.

Muthulakshmi and the family celebrate Diwali. Brindha is happy when Rajesh books a movie ticket for the family. Kanmani and Rajesh spend a romantic time in the theatre.

Rajesh and Kanmani are glad when their marriage is fixed. Kanmani hugs Veera for arranging a job for Rajesh in Dubai. Veera pacifies Pandiyan as he gets sad at the thought of Kanmani’s separation.

Maaran considers it a bad omen when his mother’s picture breaks. Ramachandran selects the wedding sari for Kanmani and gifts it to her. Ramachandran lashes out at Maaran for being irresponsible.

Raghavan takes Maaran home. Unexpectedly, Rajesh and Pandiyan’s autorickshaw collide with a car and they meet with an accident. Later Rajesh's mother questions Veera as he does not come home.

Valli pacifies Raghavan when he informs her about causing an accident. Maaran panics to learn about Pandian. Later, a tragic incident shatters Muthulakshmi and Pandian’s sisters.
