S4, E8: Over a relaxed dinner Kris explains to Matt how she was able to book Lucky Lapo and Kabato in two races on the same day. Matt will have to stay overnight but that will give Kris time to rebond with Jean. Across the bar Junior spots them together and wonders if they are the ones meant for each other. The next day Junior prepares for a race Tamarac will be running in. Davis is going to a horse auction instead so he’s left the race to Pablo and Junior. At Raintree things become awkward between Kris and Junior when a dude rancher asks if Kris can come with them and Jean refuses. Davis asks Dani to attend the auction with him and despite herself, she accepts. Junior arrives at the same race Matt’s horses are in and they start trash talking like old friends. The races start and Jean, feeling bad about her earlier coldness, invites Kris to watch it on TV with her. Tamarac wins but Lapo comes in a close second. Off the joy of that victory Jean invites Kris to move back to Raintree. After the last race Matt and Junior joke around and reform their friendship. At the horse auction Dani notices a promising filly, Tigress Eye. Davis her to run Davis Farms with him but she refuses. When Matt and Junior arrive at Raintree Kris tells them she’s moving back and that confirms Junior’s worst fears. Matt shares the news that Raintree has been invited to a six race card. Later Kris makes it clear to Matt that they are just friends, and Matt seems to accept that. Pablo notices Junior’s hurt over Kris and Pablo tells him to go after her. Junior visits Kris to ask her if there’s a future for them. Kris answers by passionately kissing him. She’s in love with him and she’s ready to admit it. Jean sees them kiss and cautions Kris to be careful. Jean invites Pablo back but he turns her down. Kris tells Junior she’s worried that she’s again caught between him and Raintree. He proposes to her and she says yes. She’s choosing him this time. They agree to meet in a half an hour and then run away together. While getting ready they are both delayed. Kris has to duck Matt and Junior has to dodge Davis. Jean catches Kris packing and gives Kris her blessing, not realizing that she’s eloping. Davis tells her Dani bought her Tigress Eye as a gift and then she can come back to racing on her own terms. Kris sneaks out of Raintree and heads towards the meeting place but Junior is not there. She’s just about to leave when Junior pulls up. They are really going to do this. They kiss and then speed away headed towards their new life together.
