Car-crazed teenager Claudio (Cristiano Morroni) presents himself to mechanic Stefano (Valerio Mastandrea) as an apprentice in waiting. Stefano, who moonlights in the world of underground drag racing, takes the young man on in an effort to best his rival, Fischio (Ivano De Matteo), with a car Claudio transforms into a powerful racer. But when Claudio meets the beautiful troublemaker Giovanna (Alessia Barela) at his first drag race, their tumultuous romance imperils them all.
