Alessandro Blasetti

Leading Italian director of the 1930s, 40s and 50s whose credits extend into the late 60s. Much of Blasetti's best and most typical work was in comedy, and his whimsical "Four Steps in the Clouds" (1942) was considered a precursor of the Neo-realist movement.
