Margreth Olin

Margreth Olin (born Margreth Olin Mykløen) is a Norwegian film director, screenwriter, and producer. Educated at the University of Bergen and Volda University College, she is internationally renowned for her deeply humanistic documentaries and feature films that highlight vulnerable populations and social issues. Her most decorated works include Doing Good (2016), Self Portrait (2020), and her critically acclaimed nature-biography Songs of Earth (2023), which served as Norway's official entry for the 96th Academy Awards. She has received numerous national and international accolades, including the Amanda Award and the Liv Ullmann Honorary Prize.
