Life is a series of firsts, but adolescence is even more so. First love. The first goodbye. The first big decision. And, of course, the first-time par excellence, the moment you lose your virginity. A step that Nina, the sixteen-year-old protagonist of this story, can’t bring herself to take. Her friends all seem much older and more experienced than she is: they divide themselves into categories and subcultures, discover gender identities and sexual preferences, making even huge mistakes, but still living their adolescence to the fullest, while she is stuck. She can only let herself go in her imagination; in the drawings she sketches in her room. Comics that come to life and tell the stories of the lives she isn’t living.
