Francesco Taramelli, psychoanalyst and father of Marta, Sara and Emma, suffers a panic attack after Emma's departure for London, which leads him to Anna, a beautiful psychiatrist. Meanwhile, Marta, a doctoral student, is swindled and evicted. Sara, who is about to marry Filippo, falls in love with wedding planner Niki. Emma, an aspiring influencer, decides not to leave after meeting Claudio. The daughters return home, and Francesco is torn between joy and despair.

Chaos reigns in the Taramelli family. Old habits die hard, and everyone has their own problems to deal with: Francesco has panic attacks and is distracted at work; Sara has feelings for both Niki and Filippo; Marta doesn't know whether to believe Ettore's promises; and Emma isn't trusted with a job. Meanwhile, the paths of Francesco and Anna, the beautiful psychiatrist, cross again, and Matteo has a new client, headhunter Chiara, for whom he feels a strange attraction.

Anna's therapy sessions brings up Francesco and Angelica's past, and Marta's depression improves when she meets Riccardo, a labor lawyer who can help her sue Ettore. But Riccardo is hiding a secret. Meanwhile, Emma organizes Sara's bachelorette party, where she tries to impress Claudio, and an unexpected revelation creates havoc among the sisters.

On the day of Sara and Filippo's wedding, the Taramellis wonder if Angelica will show up. Francesco, outside the church, realizes that he has left the wedding rings in Anna's study. Fortunately, the psychiatrist reaches him and brings them to him, forcing her to stay at the wedding. Riccardo and Claudio also show up at the reception for different reasons, which certainly does not go unnoticed by Francesco. But the big twist is yet to come.

Francesco, struggling with issues of transference, dreams of steamy encounters with Anna, while Matteo is increasingly attracted to Chiara, his headhunter client, who suggests that he take a giant leap in his career. Meanwhile, Sara realizes that she can no longer work at the hotel after a confrontation with her former in-laws. Emma helps Claudio solve a problem with his daughter Vittoria, who is being bullied by her friends and forced to shoplift, and finally manages to kiss her boss, who breaks off the relationship due to their age difference.

Francesco and Matteo continue to practice tai chi to distract themselves from their troubles, but to no avail. Francesco confides to Matteo that his patient Daniela, a well-known cabaret performer, has been dreaming of having sex with him. Matteo then arranges an evening at the club where the woman performs, much to Dr. Taramelli's embarrassment. Meanwhile, Francesco confesses to his daughters that he wants to divorce Angelica. Marta continues her relationship with Riccardo, while Emma tries to make Claudio jealous of Giorgio, a talented Instagram star.
