S1, E4: Giuliano confronts Lorenzo about the arrest of Becchi, who is accused of being a spy for Rome. The conflict between Rome and Florence intensifies as both armies face off. Riario, at the helm of the Roman army, orders Lorenzo to surrender, but Leonardo reveals his latest weapon to deter them. Back in Florence, Becchi receives a visitor in prison and is given a gift. Lorenzo throws a fete in da Vinci’s honor to celebrate their victory over Rome but the celebration is interrupted by Officers of the Night (at the behest of the Pazzis) who arrest da Vinci on charges of sodomy.
