A lonely Hawaiian girl adopts a wild dog-like creature as a pet. It transpires the strange animal is the product of an illegal experiment conducted by a mad scientist. The girl helps her pet develop emotionally whilst fighting to protect him from the sinister Galactic Federation, which hopes to recapture him.
