Brandon Vietti

Working as producer, art director, and writer, Brandon Vietti is responsible for some of the most innovative work on the Cartoon Network. The California native directed "Batman: Under the Red Hood," "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," and "Legion of Superheroes" among many others. Vietti also has art department experience, having worked as a storyboard artist on a number of animated TV series, including "Harold and the Purple Crayon" and "The New Batman Adventures." In terms of his work for television, Vietti is a producer on the "Young Justice" series, for which he is a co-creator along with Greg Weisman. The series is focused on the characters in the DC Comics universe as they are imagined in their teenage years. In essence, the Young Justice team is a counterpart to the adult team, The Justice League. The series concept was developed in 2009, when Warner Brothers Animation was seeking a show based on the concept of a cross between Teen Titans and the original comics for young readers. Vietti and Weisman were hired to produce and Peter David, who had written a great deal of the comic books in the original "Young Justice" series, was tapped as a writer. The show has found considerable success.
