In a `Wizard of Oz' homage, JD is trying to go home, Turk searches for a heart donor and Carla worries that she doesn't have the courage to become a parent.

While Turk waits for Carla's answer, his visiting brother reveals news about his own marriage, Dr Kelso's colleague and friend has to face the end of his career, and Dr Cox and Jordan disagree over learning the sex of the baby.

Chaos ensues when the residents find themselves in charge of the hospital during a night shift, and a televised car chase comes to an end with the car crashing in the hospital parking lot.

Ben's reaction to the news that he has leukaemia is better than expected, but JD finds that his friendship with Ben complicates his professional view of the situation, and Dr Cox reacts fearfully to the news. Meanwhile, Turk's ego takes a knock when he isn't chosen to assist on a difficult surgery, and Elliot is given the opportunity to criticise Dr Kelso's work.

Turk takes an extra shift at the hospital hoping to get more time off for his honeymoon, but a patient's complications keep him there longer than he intended.
