Having been hand selected by the judges, 17 brand new talented home cooks arrive at the MasterChef kitchen for the very first time.

It’s Mystery Box day, and upon arrival, our home cooks are greeted by an enormous Mystery Box, the biggest ever in MasterChef history, marking the start of Big Week.

Nostalgia week continues when our contestants find themselves in suburban Melbourne for today’s service challenge – in an old school Chinese restaurant.

Today’s cooks will face a two-round challenge. The first round sees the contestants having to choose one of three ingredients that the judges loved during their childhood.

The winning team from the huge Grazeland service challenge enter the kitchen, buoyant about their chance to now cook for Immunity.

It’s day three of Home Cooks versus Pro Cooks. All this week contestants are going head-to-head with professional chefs in classic MasterChef challenges.
