S1, E41: We join our heroes on the outskirts of Dark City, which appears to be deserted. Even during the middle of the day, there is no one on the streets. When they eventually find some people, they seem frightened of the young Trainers—a group of boys throw rocks at them from a rooftop in an attempt to scare them off. In a local restaurant, they find their explanation: Dark City has two Pokémon Gyms, but rather than waiting for challengers, the Gym Leaders try to battle any traveling Pokémon Trainers they find within the town limits. These battles are incredibly destructive and have led to the town’s disrepair. Will our heroes also be caught up in the whirlwind of these battles?
