Time to Tell the Truth— A Tearful Confession from Father to Son

S1, E3: Nijiya is now a much merrier place that Meiku and Daichi have moved in. Despite what they say, both Shunpei and Rei have also started spending more time there, so Sousuke once again suggests that they move in for good. Nevertheless, Rei quickly turns him down, stating that she does not want to be dependent on someone else. Shunpei is hesitant to move in because he cannot bring himself to leave the home where he lived with his late wife Midori. On top of that, he struggles to tell his son Haru the truth, that his mother has passed away. Busybody Sousuke and the residents of Nijiya sympathize with Shunpei's situation, and each does what they can to support him. Spurred on by the warmth of this family, Shunpei decides it is time to tell Haru the truth.
