This crime increases the relevance of the ritual killer case and prosecutor Ibarra finds it necessary to hold a press conference. Casasola is sleepless, and exhausted; he has daytime visions of burning water. Mejía and Mondragón realize that Casasola always supported the ritual killer theory, and he led and distracted them with his speculations. Casasola is arrested by Mondragón before Olga's astonished gaze; he is accused of being the ritual assassin linked to the dire omens of the Aztec empire.
