S1, E2: The Professors are captured by the apemen, and before they can go to the rescue, Edward, Agnes and Lord Roxton encounter a party of Indians. After a tense stand-off the explorers and the Indians join forces. Roxton leads a daring assault on the apemen camp to rescue the Professors. Professor Challenger prevents a massacre occurring, and insists that some of the apemen are brought back to the Indian village as prisoners, so that they can be studied. The Indians venerate Challenger, but are uneasy at this compassion shown to their enemies. Their fears prove founded when the surviving apemen summon a pair of vicious Allosaurs into the village.
