S1, E2: Responding to Sousuke’s #bemyfamily post on social media, single mother Meiku Yokose and son Daichi come to Nijiya. Flustered by their sudden arrival, Sousuke immediately convenes Shunpei and Rei to meet them for a meal. However, aspiring singer-songwriter Meiku’s behavior is out of control, and her carefree attitude vexes Sousuke. Shunpei tries to calm him down, reminding him that there must be a reason she came, but Sousuke’s distrust only grows. Meanwhile, Meiku suddenly disappears, leaving Daichi alone at Nijiya. According to Ginji Noda, she left with her guitar. When she does not return after some time, Sousuke's anger erupts, accusing her of abandoning her son. Shunpei is concerned that Sousuke is unusually frustrated, and that Meiku seems to be hiding something.
