When his mother's (Shiho Fujimura) untimely death quickly follows his father's (Yasutaka Tsutsui), Dr. Yukio Daitokuji (Masahiro Motoki) thinks a killer is targeting him and his amnesiac wife, Rin (Ryô). Soon, Yukio is assaulted by Sutekichi (also Motoki), a twin Yukio never knew existed because their parents abandoned him. He tosses Yukio down a well and has an encounter with Rin that eventually reveals her forgotten past, but Yukio escapes to battle Sutekichi.
