After witnessing his girlfriend Naoko's vicious murder, Kazuki has trouble freeing himself from his post-traumatic-stress-disorder and represses the memory completely. To complicate matters, Naoko's body is missing, and the police question whether the event actually took place. Eventually, Kazuki returns to work, where he is introduced to Tomie - who looks exactly like his deceased love. Tomie seems to have control over the entire male species - except for Kazuki. Meanwhile she comes face to face with a mysterious woman, also named Tomie. The two of them have been searching for each other...
