Neck-deep in their own cases, “The Detective” (Yo Oizumi) and his partner, Takada (Ryuhei Matsuda) certainly have their hands full. But when a good friend of the detective is murdered, all of their cases are put on hold. Determined to find the one responsible for his friend’s death, The Detective and Takada set out to do just that.  Soon after beginning his investigation, The Detective hears whispers of his late friend’s possible involvement with some very shady political figures. Following these rumors, The Detective soon uncovers a series of dark secrets which all point to one very prominent local politician. Determined to bring this criminal to justice, Takada and The Detective set out to bring him down. But they’re not the only ones interested in solving this case. Tailed by Yumiko, a talented violinist adored by The Detective’s late friend, the mystery-solving duo soon confront this determined would-be crime fighter.
