Sawa Kinoshita has moved to a small coastal town where she finds a job at a seaside restaurant. Her routine of going to work at the restaurant and coming back home to her apartment is disrupted when fate brings Yuichiro Kitano back into her life. Three years ago, Sawa and Yuichiro, both married, had an affair which developed into true love. But when Yuichiro’s wife found out and lawyers got involved, the lovers were forced to part ways. Sawa decided to leave her husband and live alone, while Yuichiro moved far away with his wife, who refused to divorce him. Sawa and Yuichiro must never look at each other, talk to each other, or contact each other. Yet without exchanging a word or touch, they begin to meet secretly once a week. After a month, however, Yuichiro’s wife Noriko finds out they are seeing each other again. This time, Yuichiro decides that he cannot live without Sawa. He promises her that he’ll be back. Several months later, he does return to Sawa and they begin a happy life together.
