Shuichi Sonoda (Mario Kuroba) is an editor for a small publishing company but has dreamed of being a popular novelist. He's so busy with work that he has no time to write and he's long given up on his dream. He lives with his girlfriend Rina Kiyokawa (Moeka Hoshi) who has problems holding down jobs due to being extremely shy and introverted. Rina just wants to be normal. A colleague of Shuichi quits and Shuichi inherits their work, working with successful commentator Yoichi Nishikawa (Junpei Yasui), who ends up making their editor write most of the manuscripts. Rina lands a job at the company at which Shuichi works after catching Yoichi's eye, but as Shuichi and Rina's relationship starts evolving Shuichi becomes jealous and the couple struggle to keep their relationship together.
