Noboru Aihara (Taro Takeuchi), an unremarkable high school student, finds his life transformed when Shun Miyazaki (Asuka Kudo), the school's most popular guy, involves him in a complicated romantic scheme. Shun, who is simultaneously dating two girls - Hikaru Momose (Akari Hayami) and Tetsuko Kambayashi (Anna Ishibashi) - asks Noboru and Hikaru to pretend to be a couple to avoid revealing his own duplicitous relationship. As Noboru and Hikaru begin their fake dating charade, Noboru unexpectedly develops genuine feelings for Hikaru, who remains devoted to Shun. Caught in a web of deception and unrequited love, Noboru must navigate the challenging terrain of high school romance, wondering if he can ever compete with the school's most desirable student.
