Actor Alexander Dreymon made his first small-screen appearance in the TV movie "Ni reprise, ni échangeé" (2010), although it was his second TV movie, "Christopher and His Kind" (2011), that got him more recognition. In the film, based on the WWII-era memoir by Christopher Isherwood, Dreymon plays Casper, a gay German prostitute who meets Christopher (Matt Smith) at a Berlin sex club. The two have a torrid affair for several months, and then Casper disappears. When Christopher sees him many months he later he is shocked to find that Casper has joined the Nazi party. Following his work on "Christopher and His Kind," Dreymon was featured in a few other foreign and short films, before being cast in 2013 as Luke Ramsey in "American Horror Story: Coven"(FX 2011-). Dreymon's character, a young man who lives next door to a school for witches, received positive reviews. Dreymon followed this effort up with an appearance in the film "Blood Ransom" (2014), a fantasy thriller about a young woman with supernatural powers. That year, it was announced that Dreymon would play the lead role in the historical drama "The Last Kingdom" (BBC 2015). Dreymon was cast as Uhtred in the series, an 8-hour epic adaptation of Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Stories.
