エミール・ショータール

Emile Chautard was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Chautard's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Broken Hearts of Hollywood" (1926), "Blonde or Brunette" (1927) and "Now We're in the Air" (1927). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Seventh Heaven" (1927) with Janet Gaynor and "Upstream" (1927). He kept working in film throughout the twenties and the thirties, starring in the romance "Lilac Time" (1928) with Colleen Moore, the Richard Barthelmess dramatic adaptation "The Noose" (1928) and "Marianne" (1929). He also appeared in "South Sea Rose" (1929), "Morocco" (1930) with Gary Cooper and "The Road to Reno" (1931). In the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in "Blonde Venus" (1932), "Cock of the Air" (1932) and "Shanghai Express" (1932). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Design For Living" (1933) with Gary Cooper, the Buck Jones western "The California Trail" (1933) and the drama "The Devil's in Love" (1933) with Victor Jory. Chautard more recently acted in the Francis Lederer drama "Man of Two Worlds" (1934). Chautard passed away in April 1934 at the age of 70.
