Eric Pleskow

Executive who began his involvement with film after WWII, when he served as a civilian film advisor for the U.S. War Department. After many years working in foreign sales and distribution for United Artists, Pleskow became their executive vice president and chief operating officer in 1973. Five years later, however, he left UA to co-found Orion Pictures Corporation, where he served as president and CEO until 1991.
