マイルズ・マンダー

Miles Mander was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Mander started his acting career landing roles in such films as the drama "The Pleasure Garden" (1925) with Virginia Valli, "The First Born" (1928) and the Feodor Chaliapin Sr. dramatic adventure "Don Quichotte" (1933). He also appeared in the Charles Laughton period drama "The Private Life of Henry VIII" (1933), the drama "The Battle" (1934) with Charles Boyer and "The Three Musketeers" (1935). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties and the forties, appearing in the Louis Hayward adventurous drama "The Man in the Iron Mask" (1939), the drama "Wuthering Heights" (1939) with Merle Oberon and the dramatic period piece "Tower of London" (1939) with Basil Rathbone. He also appeared in "The Primrose Path" (1940) with Ginger Rogers. Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the adventure "Tarzan's New York Adventure" (1942) with Johnny Weissmuller, the Carole Lombard comedy "To Be or Not to Be" (1942) and the action flick "Guadalcanal Diary" (1943) with Preston Foster. He also appeared in "Five Graves to Cairo" (1943) and the Bela Lugosi horror movie "The Return of the Vampire" (1943). Mander was most recently credited in the mystery "The Pearl of Death" (1948) with Basil Rathbone. Mander passed away in February 1946 at the age of 58.
