Began career as reader for Howard W. Koch Sr. in 1983 and joined 20th Century Fox as a vice president in 1989 where she worked on the Steven Seagal hit, "Marked For Death" and was involved in expanding Fox's production schedule. Ellis was appointed senior vice president of production at Fox in 1991.
