Reluctant to return to her home town, Tanimachi Mizuho decides to work at Kaede Publishing; the owner, Okuda Naoyuki agrees to bring back the Fiction department.

Tanimachi Mizuho properly moves into Morinaga Kenta's condo; at Kaede Publishing, the plan to bring back the Fiction department begins to take shape.

With advice from Taniguchi Mizuho, Tezuka Sachiko's manuscript is nearing completion; Mizuho asks Murakoshi Ryosuke of Murakoshi Publishing to comment on her own writing, to which he responds by telling her that she will never become an author.

Tanimachi Mizuho, depressed from having given up on becoming an author, finds the strength to return to work at Kaede Publishing; Morinaga Kenta joins her in her funeral of dreams in which she burns her writing.

Tanimachi Mizuho is delighted that Otsubo Shigeki has finished his new manuscript; she brags about it at home, but for some reason, Morinaga Kenta is distracted.
